Kate is a Licensed Massage Practitioner and the only Certified Zero Balancer practicing in Seattle. She brings joy, humor and broad bodywork expertise with her to the Tummy Temple where she is thrilled to be a strong addition to this outstanding team. In addition to Belly Massage, Kate specializes in Zero Balancing and Lymphatic Massage. Her work profoundly relaxes the nervous system, reduces inflammation and swelling, eases musculoskeletal and emotional stress, calms anxiety, and promotes a sense of well being. Clients often see her first for relief of a specific musculoskeletal or abdominal complaint, and then return because they feel that their "whole person" has been treated and cared for. Kate was first trained in Clinical Massage Therapy from The Soma Institute in Chicago and has complemented that foundational work with hundreds of hours of continuing education in Belly Massage (with Marty Ryan), Zero Balancing, Neuro-Muscular Therapy, Lymphatic Massage and Integrative Bodywork for Women. A consummate student, Kate is also the founder and director of Advanced Educators, LLC.
